Explanation
Why Home is quiet
Home shows only what changed, so most days it's short, and some days it's empty. That's by design.
Changes, not levels#
Home lists what moved in the last week on the products you watch, yours, your rivals' and any store brands: a promo started, a price changed, stores were added or dropped, a product went out of stock or came back. A product that's been the same all week isn't on it. A quiet Home means nothing moved at the stores we read.
The levels, such as every store where you're out of stock right now, are on Stores and Products.
One weekly brief, no daily digest, no default alerts#
Cannonball sends one regular email: the weekly Shelf Brief on Monday morning, with Home's few findings for the week, and only in a week that has one. There's no daily digest, and no alert is on until you set one. A message that arrives every day whether or not anything happened teaches you to ignore it. When something matters to you, set an alert on it, and you'll hear only when it happens.
It gets quieter as you use it#
Hide what doesn't matter to you with Dismiss, Hide this rival and Hide single-store moves. Home remembers, for you only, without a settings page.
When it's empty#
- Nothing changed on your shelf: nothing moved at the stores we read.
- An amber stamp and "A newer check hasn't arrived yet": the latest check is late. See Freshness.
- "N changes hidden": everything that changed is something you hid.
