    Track a launch's ranging

Watch a new product reach the shelf: how many stores range it each day, at each chain, and where it's missing.

    Availability Every plan

    1. Add the product#

If it's not on your list yet, add it as one of yours as soon as it appears. Its history goes back to the first day it was on a shelf we read, whenever you add it, as far as your plan's history shows. Add it early so Home and alerts cover it.

    2. Watch the launch curve#

On the product page, the Stores carrying it chart shows how many stores range it each day. Choose 30 days. The line climbing is the launch reaching stores. A flat line means no new stores are ranging it. If a chain's ranging isn't read at most of its stores, such as Woolworths, its line is left off on those days rather than shown near zero.

    3. See where it isn't yet#

Click Stores, then choose Not ranged. These stores don't range it although their chain sells it. Hand the list to your reps.

    4. Watch out-of-stocks early#

A new product can sell out before it's restocked. On the product's Stores list, choose Out of stock 2+ days.

    5. Get told about setbacks#

Set an alert, "It's dropped from N+ stores", so you hear if stores drop it early. See Alerts.
