    White label

White label shows the client brands you resell your agency's name, logo and colour instead of ours, in the app, its emails and its PDFs, and lets them sign in at your own web address.

Availability Agencies in the partner program, for the client brands they resell. $290 a month, or included at 10 or more active client brands. Owners and admins of the agency set it up.

White label is for the client brands you resell: you pay us and bill your client yourself, so your client sees you, not us. Referred clients pay us directly, so they keep our brand. See Billing: resell or refer.

What changes for a resold client#

Once white label is on, everyone who opens a resold client brand sees your agency's brand:

    • The app: your accent colour, a browser icon with your name's first letter, page titles ending in your name, and your logo and support email at the foot of the menu. The colour may be adjusted slightly so text on it stays easy to read in light and dark themes.
    • Emails: invitations, alerts, products sent to a colleague and answers to requests to join come from your name, and replies go to your support email, once you've set one. Their links open your own address, once you have one.
    • Sign-in: at your own address, the sign-in page and the sign-in email carry your name and logo. See Signing in at your address.
    • PDF exports: your logo at the top, and "Prepared by" with your name only, plus your support email at the foot. No "with Cannonball" and no link to us.
    • CSV exports: the file names start with your name instead of "cannonball".
    • Buyer meeting packs: your name, light logo and colour on the PowerPoint and PDF, with no mention of Cannonball. See Buyer meeting pack.

Whether or not white label is on, a client you resell sees on its Plans page that its plan comes through you, with no plans to choose. See Your clients' plans.

The menu's foot also links to our terms and privacy policy, as the service provider's. A client brand you refer is unchanged, and so is your own agency workspace (Clients, Billing and Branding): your agency's people see it as Cannonball.

    Turn it on#

    1. In your agency workspace, open Branding.
    2. Under White label, ask for it. We invoice the add-on and switch it on.

The badge next to White label shows where you are: Off, Asked for, On, or Included. It's included, with nothing to pay for it, once you have 10 or more active client brands. The White label section shows how many you have. An active client brand is one that's paying now, whether you resell or refer it. A client on its trial, or Paused, doesn't count.

You can set everything below before it's on. Your clients see it once white label is on.

Your name, colour and support email#

    Under Name, colour and support:

    1. Enter the Name clients see. Left blank, they see your agency's name.
    2. Pick an Accent colour. With none, clients see the standard blue.
    3. Enter a Support email. It's where your clients' replies and questions go.
    4. Click Save.

The name also shows on every client's PDF exports, white label or not.

Under Logo, upload a logo for light backgrounds, and, if your logo is light-coloured, a second one for dark backgrounds. Use a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG file of up to 100 KB.

    • In the app, the light logo shows in the light theme and the dark one in the dark theme. With no dark logo, the light one shows in both.
    • On PDFs, it's always the light logo: paper is white.
    • With no logo, your name shows instead.

    Your own address#

Your own address is optional: a web address of yours, such as shelf.youragency.com.au, where your resold clients sign in and where their emails link to.

    1. Under Your own address, enter the Web address and click Add address.
    2. At your DNS host, add a CNAME record for that address pointing to the target the page shows.
    3. Add the TXT record the page shows for it. It proves the address is yours.
    4. Click Check.

The address reads Waiting for DNS until both records are found, then Live. DNS changes can take a while to show. If the records are right but white label isn't on yet, it says "Verified: live once white label is on". An address another agency has already proved is theirs can't be added.

    Emails from your own domain#

Without this step, white-labelled emails come from our sending address with your name on them. To send from your own domain instead:

    1. Under Email, enter the name Before the @ (such as shelf) and Your domain, then click Add domain.
    2. Add the DNS records the page lists at your DNS host.
    3. Click Check DNS.

Once the records are verified, it reads Verified: in use, and emails come from that address. Until then, they come from ours, with your name.

    Signing in at your address#

At your own address, your clients sign in with a link sent to their email, as on ours (see Sign-in). The page carries your name and logo. There's no free-trial sign-up there, and no sign-in with Microsoft, Google or Apple: those work on our address only.

Your address only opens what you resell:

    • It opens your agency's workspace and the client brands you resell, and nothing else. Someone who's also on a brand outside your agency, or one you refer, doesn't see that brand there.
    • A sign-in at your address works only at your address. On app.cannonballdata.com, the same person signs in again, and the other way round.
    • An invitation to a white-labelled client links to your address, and works only there.
    • Someone who has nothing at your address is signed out there, and told their address isn't invited.

    Your clients' plans#

You set a resold client's plan, in Billing in your workspace: choose Resell, the Plan and how it's Billed, then click Save. We invoice you from it.

The client's own people can't choose or change it. Their Plans page names you instead of showing plans, and asking for a plan from their side is refused, even for one of their admins. Your agency's people see a link to Agency billing there. See Billing: resell or refer.

    What it can't do#

    • It doesn't apply to referred clients. They pay us, so they see our brand.
    • One look for all your resold clients. Every client you resell wears the same name, colour and logo.
    • No one-click sign-in at your address. Only the emailed link, as above.
    • Your own agency workspace stays ours. White label is what your clients see.
