Ranging record
Where each of your products was ranged and delisted, by chain and state, with the dates: a record to take to a buyer.
Availability Every plan. CSV export on Brand and up.

Open it from Products (Ranging record). Each row is one product of yours at one chain, with one sentence for the buyer, such as "Ranged at 612 Coles stores on Sat 3 Oct 2026, the most we've read; 540 of the 869 we read on Tue 13 Oct 2026".
What each row shows#
- First read: the first day we read its ranging, with the stores ranging it then. When that's the first day of our data for the chain, or of your plan's history, it says First day shown: it may have been ranged before that.
- Most: the most stores ranging it, and the first day it got there.
- Now: the stores ranging it on the chain's latest day. If its ranging wasn't read that day, this is Last read instead, and the sentence says its ranging hasn't been read since.
Each is out of the stores whose ranging we read that day. Open By state and day for the same three by state (by region in New Zealand), and every day its store count moved, newest first, such as "612 → 540: dropped at 72 stores (NSW −50, VIC −22)". It says how many stores dropped it, how many added it, and how many that ranged it weren't read that day, which are never counted as dropped. The figure for each state is net: stores that added it less stores that dropped it. The page lists 8; the changes CSV has every one.
Chain narrows the record to one chain.
How it's counted#
A store counts once we read it as ranging the product. A store whose ranging we couldn't read is never counted as delisted: it leaves both the count and the stores read. The numbers are the same as the product's page and the Products list on each day. Each chain's numbers are its own: a record never compares chains.
Use it to#
- Before a range review, open the record for the chain and note where each product stands against its most stores.
- Open By state and day on any product that lost stores, to see which states and on what days.
- Export the CSVs, or print the page (Export, then PDF), and take them into the meeting.
Export#
- Ranging record by state (CSV): one row per product, chain and state, with a row for the whole chain first: the first day, the stores ranging it and read then, the most and its day, the last day, the stores ranging it and read then, and the change.
- Ranging changes by day (CSV): one row per product, chain and day its count moved: the count the day before and that day, stores that dropped it, stores that added it, stores that ranged it but weren't read that day, and the net change by state.
Both follow the chain you chose.
What it can't tell you#
- Only chains that show ranging at every store are in the record. Woolworths and ALDI show it at a sample of stores, and Chemist Warehouse and Mitre 10 NZ don't show it, so they're left out, and the page says so under Not in this record.
- IGA stores are read in turn through the week, so a store's change there can show up to a week after it happened.
- It starts on our first day of data for each chain (or your plan's first day): earlier ranging isn't in it.
- It says where a product was ranged, not why: a chain's own reasons aren't published.
