Cannonball shop terms for bottle shops
Cannonball for bottle shops · stores.cannonballdata.comThe terms for bottle shops using Cannonball. Version 2026-10-21.2.
Last updated 21 October 2026
Draft, to be finalised by our lawyer. These terms may still change before Cannonball for bottle shops opens. If they change after you sign up, the “Changes and notice” section below applies.
The agreement
Cannonball for bottle shops is run by Cannonball, an Australian company being registered (“we”, “us”), which also runs a market-data service for drinks brands. These terms, with the data promise and our Privacy Policy, are the agreement between us and the shop you sign up for. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to agree on its behalf.
What you get
Cannonball for bottle shops shows your lines against the public shelf prices, promotions and stock of the chain liquor stores near you, read from their public websites, with the day each was read. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any of those retailers.
Price and billing
- Per store, a month, excluding GST: $99 for the price comparison, or $49 a month when you share your till sales (pooled with 5+ shops, never shown as yours). Extra stores $69 a month, or $29 when you share.
- The first 14 days are free and need no card. When the trial ends, your account pauses until you choose to pay: nothing is charged without you agreeing to it.
- The sharing price applies while sharing is on. If you stop sharing, your plan moves to the comparison price ($99) from your next billing period, and we tell you before it does.
- Founding shops: the first 50 shops to share their till sales get their first 3 months free. We email you at least 14 days before the free months end, with the price that follows, and you can stop before then without paying anything.
- We invoice monthly in advance until card payments are available.
Changes and notice
- We won’t change these terms or your price on our own say-so. We give you at least 30 days’ notice by email of any change, and at least 14 days’ notice of any price rise. If you don’t accept a change, you can leave before it applies, free, with a refund of anything you’ve paid for after that day.
- The data promise can’t be changed to use your data in a new way without asking you first. Saying no costs you nothing you already have.
Your sales data
Your sales data stays yours. If you share it, you give us a non-exclusive licence to use it (a) to provide Cannonball for bottle shops to you and (b) to create pooled data under the data promise. It isn’t perpetual or irrevocable: you can end it for the future at any time by disconnecting. Pooled data created before then may continue to be used, as the data promise explains.
Your permission to share
When you share, you confirm you’re authorised to share your shop’s own sales data and that doing so doesn’t breach any agreement you’re party to, such as a banner or supply agreement. If that changes, disconnect.
Stopping and deleting
Disconnect in Settings at any time. We then delete your raw sales data straight away (backup copies age out within 30 days), and leave you out of every report made after that. Pooled figures already delivered to brands before you left can’t be recalled; they never showed your shop. Deleting your account does the same, and also deletes your lines and settings.
No pricing advice
Cannonball for bottle shops shows public chain prices and your own data. It doesn’t recommend prices: you set your own prices independently. Don’t use Cannonball for bottle shops to communicate with other retailers about prices.
Mistakes and liability
- We read chain websites carefully, but a price or stock reading can be wrong or out of date. If one is, tell us and we’ll fix it. Check anything you rely on for a big decision.
- Nothing in these terms excludes the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond them, each of us is liable to the other for no more than the fees paid for Cannonball for bottle shops in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending the agreement
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for, then stops.
- We can end or suspend your account only for a serious breach of these terms that you haven’t fixed within 14 days of us telling you, or if the law requires it. If we stop offering Cannonball for bottle shops, we give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund anything paid for after it ends.
