Who we are
Cannonball for bottle shops is run by Cannonball, an Australian company being registered, which also runs a market-data service for drinks brands.
What we collect when you share
Product, units sold, dollars sold, and week, by product. We don’t take customer names, loyalty numbers, staff names, your costs, or banner rebates. If your file contains them, we discard them on upload.
What we do with it
- For you: lost sales, chain-promo impact, a price check on your top sellers against nearby chain shelf prices, and benchmarks against similar shops in your state (sales trends only, never prices).
- Pooled: we combine shops’ sales into totals by state and category (and finer areas only once enough shops join). A total is only published when it includes at least 5 shops, at least 2 weeks of data, no shop above 25% and no two shops above 50%. We sell these totals and rankings to drinks brands.
What we never do
- Show your shop’s numbers to anyone else, including brands, other shops, your banner group or the chains.
- Show other shops your prices, or show you theirs.
- Sell to Endeavour, Coles, ALDI, Metcash/ALM, LMG, ILG, banner groups, or brand businesses they own.
- Use your data to set or suggest prices for anyone.
What brands sign
Brands agree not to try to identify any shop, not to combine our data to do so, not to pass it on, and not to use it to pressure any shop’s prices.
Leaving
Disconnect in Settings. Your raw sales data is deleted straight away; backup copies age out within 30 days. You’re left out of all new reports. Figures already delivered before you left stay with the brands that bought them, but they never showed your shop.
Changes
If we ever want to use your data in a new way, we’ll ask you first. Saying no won’t cost you anything you already have.
